Up after a good nights sleep (thanks to some gummies I got while in Pullman.
I said my goodbyes and hit the road to Twin Falls. Not much to say about it other than it was a long trip.
I’ve been having some issues with my current iPhone. I asked Anita her opinion and after some research it appears my best bet will be to hold off till the 11th when the new phone is released…needless to say I’ll wait another day for the crowd to thin.
Got checked in and headed to Woody’s 2.0 for a much needed beer. Well I got that and then some thanks to a great bartender, Sophie.
So this is the first day of the trip. It’s a short one to my Big Brother Greg & wife Jeannie’s house. I get to tell them whats up.
I love the Palouse…doesn’t matter what time of year the rolling hills always have a beauty about them, no matter the season.
Like I said…love this part of the country.
So before I get to their house I stop at Les Schwab to get a front end alignment…although I don’t know if I still need one. The major service I had done in Cd’A this past week included CV boots and axles and I don’t feel it pulling any longer.
Well….the rep at the desk convinced me to do it anyway, so $145 later I was assured my car wouldn’t wander.
I had a little time to kill and wanted Jeannie to be home prior to my arrival so I stopped in for a beer (or more). Still had time to kill so took a nap in the car only to be woken up by a text from Jeannie letting me know she was home. A few minutes later I got there.
As most of you know I’m not a stranger to divorces…I’ve been through more than my share (and my family has been there through them all). I suppose I was worried this time might be different but God bless them they were right there for me.
I shed more than a few tears because of their support, but after a bit of wine I was fine.
So it’s Thursday evening. I’m all packed up and as ready to go as I can be!
I leave in the morning. I’ll gas up at Costco in Spokane and head to my brother Greg’s house in Colton. He’ll be the last family member to know whats up.
