This is called a ballena (referring to it being as big as a whale). I guess they go by other names in other parts of Mexico.
The end of the day was capped by a trip to the liquor store across from my hotel. The had my favorite brand of rye whiskey Sagamore. But they had two other variations I’d never seen before, so my good friend Nils will get to enjoy opening the bottle together.
